Earth4Energy is a book is written by Michael Harvey.  His writing is plain and simple and he includes a lot of diagrams and pictures.

When I first saw it I thought..."How can this guy teach me, an electrical know-nothing, to make a home solar power system?  It ain't gonna happen!"

Boy, was I wrong!  It's so much simpler than I thought!

He explains EXACTLY what you need to do and get:  

  • Materials
  • Equipment
  • Tools
  • The cheapest places to get your materials
Here it the bottom line:

  • Simple and complete explanations for how to make solar panels?        YES

  • Can a non-electrician actually build and install Solar Panels?              YES

  • Is it easy to find the parts or pieces to implement a power system?       YES

  • Do these Solar Panels really work and save you money?                       YES... that's the BEST part!

His explanations of how to build and install a solar panel were easy to understand and follow.  I was able to put together the panel just using his instructions.

He also goes in to depth about how to build your own wind turbine ... it's much cheaper to build one,  but you could also buy one too.
Building a wind turbine is a bit more complicated than building a solar panel, but it can produce a substatial amount of free energy and makes sense for areas that are continually overcast.  Even though its more complicated than solar, IT ISN'T HARD!

  • 'How to' information easy to follow and carry out?                                                    YES

  • Where and what to buy to get the necessary parts?                                                    YES

  • How to assemble the pieces?                                                                                          YES

The best news is that you can build either the solar panel or the wind turbine for next to nothing if you do it the way Michael Harvey recommends.

I recommend this book HIGHLY.  It was easy for me to follow and not being an electrician did NOT matter since it guides you through the entire process.

If you REALLY want to lower your energy cost SUBSTANTIALLY, then you need to get this book.  In our uncertain world, with all the economic problems facing us, you need to take the steps you can take action and assure yourself you will always have power.
